Post-Budget Board Meetings Ahead This Week

Washington Township, West Morris Regional school boards meet for first time in April.

Two major school board meetings are on tap for Washington Township this week, on Monday and Tuesday nights.

Monday, the West Morris Regional Board of Education will meet at Mendham High School at 7 p.m. for its regular meeting.

It’s the first meeting of the board since it approved the 2013-14 budget, which saw a tax hike in four of the five towns that send students to the regional high schools. That spending plan comes with an overall cost of more than $50 million between the two schools.

On Tuesday, April 23, the Washington Township Board of Education will meet at the Benedict A. Cucinella Elementary School at 6:30 p.m., with the public portion convening at 7:30 p.m.
