Snow Forces K-8 District to Close, Gives High School Early Dismissal

West Morris Central students will be dismissed at 11:44 a.m.

A storm that could bring as much as 10 inches of snow to Washington Township Tuesday has forces the K-8 district to close, and gave the high school district an early dismissal.

Washington Township Schools made their announcement shortly after 5 a.m. Tuesday, while the West Morris Regional School district chose the truncated bell schedule just before 5 a.m.

West Morris Central students will be dismissed at 11:44 a.m.

The township schools were in session Monday on Martin Luther King Day, while West Morris Central was closed. 

The storm is expected to last throughout the day Tuesday and in the early hours Wednesday morning.
