1-Point Overtime Win Puts Lady Highlanders in County Title Game

Central will try and take down Morris Catholic for championship.

The No. 2-seed West Morris Central girls basketball team outlasted a performance of a lifetime Friday night to take a one-point overtime win in the Morris County Tournament semifinal round against Randolph.

Despite Randolph's star player Aliyah Huland El scoring 51 of her team's points, Central came out on top with a 66-65 victory for a shot at the county title, according to nj.com.

Central's Ilissa Webb hit the go-ahead shot in overtime, a banked-in layup, with just seconds remaining, the report said.

West Morris will play Morris Catholic for the Morris County Tournament Championship after the private school beat Chatham Friday night.
