Central Boys LAX Season Ends Against Morristown in Quarterfinals

Defense too much to overcome in 6-4 loss.

After a 17-goal outburst in the opening round of the playoffs, West Morris Central’s boys lacrosse team met its match in the quarterfinals of the state tournament, losing to county rival Morristown Tuesday afternoon.

Despite a one-goal lead at the half, the Wolfpack couldn’t hang on, letting up three goals in the fourth period, eventually losing 6-4, according to nj.com.

Central was the No. 2 seed in the North, Group 3 tournament, with Morristown the No. 7 seed. The Wolfpack obliterated Middletown North last weekend by a score of 17-0 in the first round.
