Halbert Takes Volleyball Talents to West Chester

West Morris Central senior signs letter of intent to play for Division II school.

Since the West Morris Central Volleyball team was created in the late 1990s, it's been nothing but a juggernaut of winning and talent.

The Morris County Tournament Championships and historic playoff runs and group titles line the glass cases at the school's field house, and all of them have come on the shoulders of extremely competitive young ladies.

In the past four years, much of that success has come with Annalee "Annie" Halbert in the mix, providing talent and leadership to the ever-successful squad.

Because of her efforts, the Central senior recently signed a National Letter of Intent to play volleyball at West Chester University in Pennsylvania, part of the Division II PSAC conference.

Halbert, along with her parents, high school volleyball coach Jim Balella, and three of her Atlantic Volleyball Club coaches: Louis Stevens, Greg Chang, and Anthony Valbrum were on hand at the school to take part in Halbert's letter signing this spring.
