Week in Review: Sports and Safety Projects Complete March

Township committee completes budget creation process.

Now that March has ended and we’ve embarked on April, can we say that the month came in like a lion and went out like a lamb? If you mean lamb by white, fluffy material, then sure, that’s how it went. Here’s to hoping April’s better.

The Washington Township Committee held its final municipal budget meeting this week, needing to cut $52,000 to stay under the 2-percent tax cap. The governing body eventually cut $74,000 from the budget. The formal presentation will be held April 18 at the municipal building. For more on the story, .
