West Morris Hockey Stops Jefferson

Five Wolfpack grapplers earn tournament titles.

Goals from Tanner Muscatella, Dan DeVincentis and Dan Primavera helped propel the West Morris ice hockey team to its first win of the 2011-12 season with a 3-1 victory over Jefferson on Saturday.

West Morris got out to a quick 2-0 lead in the first period behind goals from Muscatella and DeVincentis.

Goalie Jamie DeIturrondo helped secure the win by stopping 38 shots, while the lone Jefferson goal came in the second period from Joey Trapasso.

Five West Morris grapplers earned titles on Saturday at the West Morris Tournament, fueling the Wolfpack to a first place overall finish in the team standings, according to NJ.com.

Brandon Carcuffe (138 pounds), Nick Matthews (145), John Sickles (170), Thomas Stoll (182), and Zak Krulan (285) each secured titles in the first action of the 2011-12 season, while second place finishes came from John Schade (106), Corey Fleming (120) and John Isemann (126).
