Wolfpack Boys Lacrosse Falls, Pooley Trophy Goes to Mendham
West Morris Central couldn't hold on after going into halftime with a tie, losing to Mendham on Saturday, 8-3.
The closely contested game was tied at halftime, but West Morris Mendham took the lead and never let go after the third quarter. In the fourth, Mendham dominated, scoring four unanswered goals.

For three periods in the battle for the Pooley Trophy, West Morris Central and West Morris Mendham were evenly matched. At the end of the third, Mendham was up by only one goal, 4-3. But in the fourth quarter the flood gates opened for Mendham. They scored four unanswered goals, taking control of the game halfway through the period and securing their victory, 8-3.

Alex Kennedy—the freshman goalie stepped in to replace starting goalie Nick McKaba, who could not play on Saturday. Kennedy had 12 saves.
