Snow Storms Do Your Neighbors Need Help?

Our Township has been hit by a series of snow storms, some minor and a couple more "heavy duty". Do you have neighbors who are elderly or have been ill recently? Could they possibly have trouble clearing out their driveway and walkways? We sometimes think that a neighbor needing help would call us for assistance. Some people don't ask for help because they are embarrassed or "don't want to be a bother". A quick phone call or stopping by and checking if everything is okay might find a situation where someone could use some help. A driveway that has not been shoveled or plowed, even though there are cars in the driveway, might indicate someone is having a problem. A quick phone call might get a "Everything is okay but thanks for calling" or disclose someone needing help. Worst case you might discover a person has fallen and can't get to a phone. That happened in our town within the past two years, and the person was lucky that a friend checked because the senior had not been seen or heard from for a few days.
