Did You Go Green? Upload Your Festival Photos

Washington Township's first annual Green Living Festival was at Rock Spring Park on July 14.

The first-ever Washington Township Green Living Festival hit on Saturday, July 14 and showcased 40 vendors and exhibits, all focused on sharing information about sustainable living.

From attendees to volunteers to exhibitors, we're sure there were plenty of photos taken of the historic event.

And we'd love to see them here!

We've uploaded a few sent over to us so far, now it's your turn. Simply click the "upload photos and videos" button and share your awesome shots with us!

I was awed by Joe Keyes technical prowess when we needed to put "spikes" into the ground to secure the canopy legs. Joe reached into his well stocked utility satchel and brought out an electric drill...........and used it to hammer the fastner into the ground! He and I quickly found out why the park is called Rock Spring Park. We were clearly this decade's answer to Abbot and Costello.

I am a big fan of going green in all apsects of the township. I have solar panels on my home and I compost as much as possible, consuming produce that I have grown on my own property. It is nice to see that so many people care about the environment. Our future lies in green technology, and I believe that if we re-elect President Obama, he will be more progressive towards green technologies and advances then Romney will. The Green Festival was great and so is the LV Green Team, and Tracy you are right, it is always impressive when a man reaches into his well stocked satchel and removes a tool. Hey Abbot!!!!!

There were hundreds of local folks from the area and a wonderfully educational and fun-filled time was had. I enjoyed being a vendor and meeting many enthusiastic citizens. One major voice for our town was MIA - The PATCH! Where the heck were you? You're supposed to represent our town's activities and NOBODY was there! Other press people were there and I'm sure you could have gotten someone down there for this 1st of its kind event.

Hey Jan - Thanks for the comment, and we're glad to hear the turnout was great. Unfortunately we were unable to attend/cover the event. We just can't be everywhere all the time, as much as we'd love to be. That's also why we created this platform for attendees to share their thoughts and photos of the event. If the Green Team can create a 2nd Annual Festival, we'll be there, guaranteed. Thanks!
