Kohl's Honors 2 Long Valley Kids for Volunteer Efforts

Each will receive $50 gift card and qualify for regional recognition.

Kohl’s Department Stores are honoring more than 2,300 youngsters nationwide for their volunteer efforts, and two hail from Long Valley.

Zachary Rice and Samantha Rizzuto both received $50 gift cards from the national department store, and now have a chance to receive a $1,000 regional scholarship for higher education, which will be awarded in July.

Rice, 11, and Rizzuto, 17, were among 71 winners in New Jersey. Those who become one of the 200 regional winners will qualify for a chance to be one of 10 national winners who will each receive $10,000 scholarships. Kohl’s will also donate $1,000 to each of the 10 winner’s nonprofit organizations of choice.
