Hanukkah, Cranberry Sauce and Closings Ahead This Week

Make proper plans for school early dismissals this week.

We’re in the unique position to be celebrating two holidays this week, and that means plenty of closures and notes to be aware of. Let’s take a peek at what you need to know for the next few days.

All Washington Township Schools – Long Valley Middle, Cucinella, Flocktown-Kossmann, and Old Farmers Road – will operate on early dismissals Monday through Wednesday this week, and will be closed Thursday and Friday.

Cucinella and Flocktown-Kossmann will release students at 12:35 p.m. those three days. Old Farmers will release students at 1:35 p.m., and the Middle School will end its day at 1:48 p.m.

Andrea’s Dining Room at Restaurant Village will host Rabbi Scott Roland from Temple Hatikvah for the first night lighting, which goes from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Members of the West Morris Central orchestra will play Hanukkah music as well. Find out more here.

The Washington Township Planning Board meeting, originally set for Wednesday at the municipal building, has been cancelled. Also, the municipal building and all its offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.

Last but not least, what’s on your plate this Thanksgiving? What are the “must have” foods that end up on your dining room table? Share those offerings as well as the recipes that go with them on our question of the week.

Happy holidays, Long Valley!
