The first full week of October is here, and there’s plenty going on to take note of. Let’s get to it and see what you need to know about.
The Washington Township School District Board of Education will hold its only meeting of the month on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at the Long Valley Middle School. The meeting is open to the public and begins at 7:30 p.m. after an executive session.
On Wednesday, Oct. 9, the Washington Township Municipal Building will host a flu clinic, as the shot will be available to residents 18 and older between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. for $20, and free to residents 65 and over with Medicare Part B who have pre-registered.
Take note the municipal building will operate under a half-day schedule Friday, Oct. 11.
Oct. 9 is also the final day for voters to apply for a mail-in ballot for this year’s general election, scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 5. Contact the Morris County Clerk for more information.
It’s National Pizza Month in October, and we’re asking residents to vote for their favorite slice in Washington Township. Find out more by going here and be sure to let us know in the comments section who your favorite is.
