It’s the first full month of fall and 2013 is winding down in a hurry! The first week of October is jam-packed with events and meetings residents should be aware of, so let’s take a look.
On Wednesday, Oct. 2, the Washington Township Municipal Utilities Authority will hold its regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. at 46 East Mill Road. The meeting is the first of the independent organization’s budget talks. The meeting is open to the public and residents are encouraged to attend.
Also on Wednesday is the monthly suicide survivor’s support group, held at Trinity United Methodist Church on Main Street in Hackettstown, but is free and open to residents from all over the area. There is no obligation to speak. Find out more here.
Capping off the week is one of Washington Township’s most storied events, now entering its 30th year. The annual Historic House Tour will wind its way through the German Valley Historic District from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5.

Have a great week, Washington Township!
