Time for Class, Parade Grand Marshal Ahead This Week

Another week is gone and another one is ahead. There’s plenty to take note of in Washington Township this week, so let’s get to it.

It’s back to school week! Schools in the Washington Township district kick off classes on Monday, including full day kindergarten at Cucinella, Kossmann, and Old Farmers Road schools. Have those first day of school pictures ready to share? Send them our way: jason.koestenblatt@patch.com.

We’ll be working on a story this week about the grand marshal of the Washington Township Fireworks Festival and parade. Check back later in the week to find out who was given the honor.

Wednesday is the monthly work session for the Washington Township Committee, which begins at 7:30 p.m. at the municipal building. Residents are encouraged to attend the open session.

High school sports are now in full swing, and the defending champion Wolfpack football team is set to take the field Thursday against Morris Knolls. Find out more about fall sports team schedules here.
