‘Poor’ Relationship With Park Commission Behind Crosswalk Delay

At that same meeting with the Morris County Freeholders on July 24, Washington Township Mayor Ken Short told county officials he felt a ‘poor’ relationship with the parks commission was the reason behind a years-long delay to input a crosswalk at the Columbia Trail on Schooley’s Mountain Road.

‘Tromp’ to Stomp Through Long Valley Aug. 25

It’s that time of year again: Registration for the Columbia Trail Tromp is open for the fourth annual event to help promote awareness for pancreatic cancer. The 24-mile course is open to walkers, runners, and bicyclists.

Paving Project to Shut Old Farmers Road in August

The largest of three major road repaving projects is set to begin Monday, Aug. 5 on more than 3,000 feet of Old Farmers Road between East Valley Brook and Parker roads. Construction could last up to three weeks, according to police.
