It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for. Technically, it’s been 275 years in the making.
From the Washington Township Committee to the Community Events Organization and every business and volunteer in between, the day has come for the Fireworks Festival and Parade to march through town.
Events have taken place throughout the year to honor the municipality’s 275th anniversary, but none have been as ballyhooed as Saturday’s event.
A parade will march from the intersection of Old Farmers Road and East Mill Road all the way through downtown Long Valley, ending at the Middle School on West Mill Road. Some 50 participants are expected to take part in the parade.
The parade hits the street at 4 p.m.
The Fireworks Festival goes from 5 to 9 p.m. with the grand finale set for 8:30 p.m. The event is rain or shine and will feature dozens of vendors and fun for all ages.
Which part of the parade and festival are you most looking forward to on Saturday?
