The Washington Township Police Department originated in 1964 and moved to its current location in 1998. The station houses four jail cells and 28 full-time officers. The department is administered by Police Chief Michael Bailey, who assisted by Lieutenants Mark Niemynski and Arthur Adams, Jr.
The department also has four full-time dispatchers, who are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
