why do we need new housing for COAH? there is plenty of open housing which should qualify, esp inRead More existing townhouses. Doesn't the trailer park already qualify?

"Why can't we look at renovating EXISTING vacant properties to fulfill the proposed new COAHRead More regulations?" Isn't that what they're trying to do with the Kings Hwy project?

NO it is not Chuck. That is an commercial site that they want to tear down completely and REZONE toRead More build 300 BRAND NEW "high-end" apartments. I am talking about existing vacant HOUSING that could be renovated into affordable multi-family dwellings. Not torn down, but remodeled. (NO MORE development when there are SO MANY existing residences on the market!) I can think of a few abandoned houses on our street which would be ideal.

statistically, according to the FBI, every town or city that has allowed concealed carry saw a dropRead More in violent crime. While I don't think everyone should be armed, everyone should have the right to be armed. The argument is moot anyway since they close the park and all trails when hunting is going on. The State took down the "24" signs a few years back. It is now 510, although some peopleRead More call it 124. Newcomers are very confused when people call Mendham Road "24" because they think of the highway to short hills mall. So 510 it is.

The real main intention of this law was to protect somebody who is rendering assistance, regardless.Read More If you were to come to an accident and you moved the person out of the car because it was going to burn, but in the intention you caused paralysis due to an injury your had no idea about, you would be granted immunity. You were acting in the best interest of the victim, trying to save their life. If this act was not in effect, nobody would render assistance if they thought about the consequences. Good people with basic human nature would still help. It takes the ambulance chasers to ruin something else like this.

She also stated that the cops wouldn't come out just for a stolen cellphone, how do those people know? True story, I went to University Plaza in Newark to pay my cable bill at the Optimum Payment Center, and I grabbed something to eat, anyway, as I was eating in my car, I saw a store owner get hit by some guy, and I put down my food, and picked up my cellphone as I was about to dial 911, I heard the owner say not to, but I had to, even though he was a complete stranger to me, I knew enough to know that if I did nothing, it would've be just as bad as the criminal doing the hitting. I am the type of person who will stand up for anyone if I see what's going on.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and speculate that Jeff&Kathy pay property taxes in Washington Twp.Read More The district HS has had its ups&downs over the past 20 years - but that has nothing to do with who is funding these schools (and probably not much to do with level of funding after a point). Washington TWP taxpayers simply want to continue the funding mechanism which in essence steals over $6,100,000 per year from M-C taxpayers. They have used every delay tactic available including lies and straw man argument distractions to prevent this gravy train from ending.
Jeff June 24, 2014 at 02:43 pm
You are correct I am a Washington Twp resident. You are incorrect that we wish to use delay tactics.Read More You are correct that this is strictly about money in the eyes of M-C tax payers. My only point is that every option is not being considered. That short changes ALL the students. A decision will be made with part of the information and the M-C residents will be ok with that. I hope the students are as well.
Geoff Cabral June 24, 2014 at 06:19 pm

Get over your self-delusions and prepare to pay your own way - or move to a jurisdiction with no HS. Ridgewood Mom June 19, 2014 at 05:29 pm
Exactly Joe. All that Chris Christie has done as governor is raid the public coffers in order toRead More line the pockets of himself and his cronies. charlotte, You are living in a bubble. Dream, Dream, Dream darling. Obviously you really do not knowRead More what is going on. It is not the money they do it to for an exchange of favors program to put who they want a head. It helps them in the future for their own. Teachers are shroud in everything they do. You have administrator, teachers and coaches fudging every thing they can to make themselves look good. They collaborate together like the good old boys club. Trust me on this most don't care about your kids or anyone's kids unless you fall under that category of knowing someone. To I've got the "scoop"" Ellie has a few different diseases. First called HereditaryRead More multifocal retinal dysplasia and retinal folding treated with eye drops. The second is keratoconjunctivitis sicca (chronic dry eye) which needs to be treated with Optimmune which can lead to corneal ulcers, chronic pus comes out of her eye and could lead to blindness if not treated. At first "their" vet stated Ellie just had regular conjunctivitis (infectious) probably caused by being with so many puppies, but not until I took her to a specialist was it determined this was a predisposed condition. Granted cocker spaniels DO have some eye problems but not the extent of Ellie's problems. The next issue she has is distichiasis (ingrown eyelashes) which also increases the pus, irritation, redness so she has to be groomed around her face more often. Her other problem was a "cherry eye". At 5 months old a "piece of meat" started coming out of her left eye. It was diagnosed as a cherry eye. The pet store would ONLY pay for the surgery if I used "their vet". She had the surgery and it did not work so needless to say the "piece of meat" is still hanging out. Again, granted cocker spaniels are "prone" to eye problems BUT IT WAS DETERMINED IN ALL OF HER DISEASES BOTH MOTHER AND FATHER HAVE HAD TO HAVE THESE DISEASES AND WOULD HAVE BEEN VERY APPARENT IN THE ADULTS AND THEY WERE STILL BREEDING THEM. Right now she is stable and is used to getting the medicine in her eyes daily. I love her so much. Again, as stated the pet store DID NOT CARE WHATSOEVER!!!! They made their sale!
