Longtime Washington Twp. restaurant now closed.
Pietro's Villa, known for its Italian cuisine and single portions that could feed two people, has closed its doors, much to the dismay of its loyal customers. Sitting just on the cusp of the Washington Township and Hackettstown borders, the restaurant has occupied two business spaces since it opened, both in the same mall, now known as Patriot's Plaza. The restaurant opened Nov. 17, 1985, according to co-owner Mary Geller. It officially closed on Saturday, April 28, 2012. The owners haven't retired, rather, they've opened a new restaurant named Blackstone's in Hackettstown.
