Budd Lake Teens Memorialized With Sign

Township says more formal action will be taken in the spring.

Just a couple weeks after two Mt. Olive Township teens went missing in the icy waters of Budd Lake, a sign has been erected near the water’s edge in remembrance of the youngsters. “In Loving Memory to Nick and Clyde” the sign reads in a photo Mayor Rob Greenbaum posted to his public Facebook page. The teens, Clyde Schimanski III and Nick Cianciotto III, both 15, went missing just after 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7 after ice fishing on the ice. Their bodies were recovered over the next two days. “So that we shall never forget,” Greenbaum wrote along with posting the photo on the social media site.
