30 Ecstasy Pills Found on Traveling Pair, Cops Say

Motor vehicle stop in Hackettstown leads to drug arrest of two Washington Township men, police report.

Two Washington Township residents were arrested and jailed after Hackettstown Police found them in possession of a slew of various drugs and paraphernalia, Sgt. Darren Tynan said. Just after 4 p.m. Saturday, police stopped a vehicle for a moving violation at the intersection of Valentine Street and Rt. 46, Tynan said. During an investigation, officers found the driver, Nicholas Cash, 22, with 15 capsules of suspected ecstasy and one cellophane wrapper of suspected ecstasy, Tynan said. Police then searched Cash’s passenger, Samuel Grullat, 23, and found another 15 capsules of suspected ecstasy, a cellophane wrapper with suspected ecstasy, and eight hypodermic needles, Tynan said. Wanted Man Arrested For Third Time, Cops Say

Long Valley resident had an outstanding warrant for allegedly receiving stolen property.

A Long Valley man with an outstanding warrant was arrested by Hackettstown Police for the second time in December last week, Sgt. Darren Tynan said. Samuel Grullat, 22, was arrested on a warrant issued by the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office for failure to appear in court, Tynan said. Grullat was originally charged for receiving stolen property and arrested on Dec. 3 when Hackettstown Police found him on Lawrence Drive. Grullat’s Dec. 3 arrest stemmed from a residential burglary in Washington Township, according to Lt. Doug Compton, when police linked Grullat to the incident from jewelry taken in the burglary that was later sold at local pawn shops. Grullat was transported to the Morris County Correctional Facility on Dec. 3 in lieu of $5…
