Bio

A resident of Long Valley for more than 20 years, Jason knows his way around the northern New Jersey area, and can't think of a better place to live.

A product of the Washington Township school system (Flocktown Road School, LVMS and WMC), Jason has fond memories of growing up in Long Valley. He married his high school sweetheart Nancy—in fact, they were named WMC class couple in 2001.

After graduating Kutztown University in 2005, Jason briefly worked for a marketing agency, and then the Daily Record newspaper for more than three years. He's been a victim of the constant cutting in the newspaper industry and knows local news coverage is beginning to suffer because of it. That's why he's made a commitment to serve a variety of communities in New Jersey with Patch.

Feel free to reach out to Jason, say hey, and let him know your thoughts.

Your Beliefs

Politics

How would you describe your political beliefs?

Depends on the topic, but for the most part I'm conservative.

Are you registered with a certain party?

I'm a registered Republican but will vote for the person who will get the job done.

Religion

How religious would you consider yourself?

I'm an observant Christian.

Local Hot-Button Issues

What do you think are the most important issues facing the community?

We live in New Jersey, so in addition to the seven unspeakable words in the English language, we can make it eight and add "taxes." School taxes. Municipal taxes. County taxes. Open Space taxes. It's all there, and it all impacts residents' wallets. But it's up to people and their chosen leadership to get the most out of their dollar.

Was at IHOP this morning when we saw a dog in a car with no side windows open ... just the sunroof. A heavy set police officer from Hackettstown was on the scene going into every store trying to find the owner of the car apparently to no avail. Well he left ... HE LEFT! We waited around when a woman and two sons came out of IHOP went into the dollar store then after about 15 minutes came out and tried to "sneak" in her car. As far as we know the dog was in that car for at least an hour and half. She was confronted and didn't see anything wrong with it and said obviously the cop didn't either. ARE U KIDDING ME???!!! DON'T LEAVE PETS IN CARS!

Jason, LV all about the kids? I just got back from Krauser's in Long Valley where the owner has decided to sell drug paraphernalia (hash/pot pipes) as impulse buy items by their cash registers - just 3 doors down from School of Rock . I'd love to, or have someone cover the story, for LV Patch. I have iPhone photos of the pipes. What do you think? Mark Lipinski (908) 876-1208

For new readers, Patch is a front for Huffington Post/AOL. If you're really conservative, why not start your own website instead of being Ariana's monkey.
