Cops Investigating Schooley's Mtn. Break-Ins

Police urge residents to keep doors and windows in homes and cars locked.

Three homes in the Pleasant Grove and Wehrli Road area have been broken into over the past week, and are currently under investigation, according to Lt. Doug Compton.

As 2011 came to a close, there were break-ins reported on Fairview Avenue as well, Compton said. Those incidents are also under investigation.

Earlier in 2011, , as perpetrators were taking anything from GPS units to loose change, Compton said.

Compton urges residents to call the police if they see or hear anything suspicious at 908-876-3232. He recommended that regardless of where you live in town or how your property may be set up, to keep all doors and windows locked and secured.
