Long Valley Surrounded by NJ's Wealthiest Towns

Two Morris, one Hunterdon County town on top-10 list border Washington Township.

Chester Township, Mendham Township and Tewksbury found spots on NJ Spotlight's list of the wealthiest communities in New Jersey, all towns with median household incomes higher than the state average of $71,180. 

The three towns – two of which border Long Valley – came in eighth, ninth and tenth, respectively, all boasting a median household income of $165,000 or higher, the report said.

The wealthiest New Jersey community, according to the list, is Tavistock, in Camden County. The median income in the small borough, which NJ Spotlight reported had a population of five people according to the last U.S. Census in 2010, is about $250,000.
