"Evita" the Musical
“Evita” has been widely performed since the opening of the original production in 1978, has seen tremendous success, including the 1996 film adaptation starring Madonna and Antonio Banderas.
It tells the morally ambiguous story of Argentinean First Lady Evita Perón, whose rags to riches story starts in poverty as she manipulates her way to stardom, and ultimately public service, as an idol of the masses she came from.
It is directed by English and drama teacher Jeff Hogan. Evita is choreographed by math teacher Dana Harrington, and musically directed by Tracy Witko and band teacher Margret Schaeffer. Set design is by Ron Kadri and properties design by art teacher Harmony Dougher. Costumes are by Susan Thompson and hair/makeup is by special education teacher Tanya Cavallo.
General Admission is $12 at the door; $10 for Students.
