'Tromp' to Stomp Through Long Valley Aug. 25

Registration for annual event to raise awareness for pancreatic cancer now open.

There’s no better way to see Long Valley and the surrounding areas than to walk through them, and on Sunday, Aug. 25 walkers, runners and bikers will have their chance to do so all while supporting a great cause.

Registration for the fourth annual Columbia Trail Tromp to raise funds and awareness for pancreatic cancer is now open. The event, sponsored by the Long Valley Village Association, is a memorial to Bill Harrington Sr., who died of the disease.

The event is rain or shine and kicks off at the Somerset Hills Bank on Schooley’s Mountain Road. The course weaves its way through the Columbia Trail into Califon and High Bridge before heading back to Long Valley. The total distance is 24 miles.
