Burglary Attempted While Residents Were Home, Cops Say

Attempted break-in last Friday on Naughright Road remains under investigation.

An alleged burglar attempted breaking in to a Naughright Road residence while the owners were home, Washington Township Police said.

Just after 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, police received a call of an attempted burglary to a home on Naughright Road near the intersection of Bartley Road, Lt. Art Adams said.

At some point between 7 and 10 a.m. that day, a a first-floor window was pried open while the residents were inside, Adams said. Police believe when hearing noises that alerted the attempted burglar to someone being home, the burglar fled the area without ever gaining entrance to the home, Adams said.
