Copper Piping Stolen From Vacant Long Valley Home

Police received call of burglary on Tuesday, say crime could have happened within previous week.

A Bartley Road home was stripped of its copper wiring and police are now searching for the burglar, Lt. Art Adams said.

Washington Township Police received a call of a burglary Tuesday just after 1 p.m. to a Bartley Road residence, Adams said. During an investigation, police realized there was forced entry through a back door, and all of the copper piping from the basement was removed, Adams said.

The home is currently listed for sale and is vacant, Adams said. Police believe the incident occurred within a week prior to Oct. 29.
