Groups, Organizations Abundant in Long Valley

Plenty of ways to get involved with community.

It’s Tuesday and Long Valley continues to plug through the summer. Rather than taking a look at what’s happening in town, let’s see what groups and organizations are available in Long Valley that you may not be aware of.

You Need to be a Mom With Other Moms: The MOMS Club of Emmanuel Bible Church meets once a month, and their meeting is coming up on Wednesday, Aug. 3 at the church at the intersection of Pleasant Grove and Schooley’s Mountain Roads. This month’s meeting will have a Washington Township police officer checking car seats for proper installation. All moms are welcome.

You Need to Know About Veterans: The AVAWT, or American Veterans Association of Washington Township, is open to all military personnel, whether they were enlisted during war or peacetime. The group meets monthly at the Senior Center at Rock Spring Park. The next meeting is Tuesday, Aug. 9 at 10 a.m.
