Teen With Brain Cancer Gets Help From Afar

New York-based cousins pitch in to raise funds for Glenn Lightner.

While Long Valley has rallied around the Lightner family, whose oldest son , the well wishes and fundraising hasn’t been limited to the immediate area.

Natalie Cadillo, a cousin of Silvia Lightner–Glenn's mom–living in New York, took it upon herself to help family and raise some funds of her own.

Cadillo and her boyfriend, Walter Ramin, put together an entertainment show at The Bitter End club in New York recently, with five musical acts and two comedians taking the stage.

In addition to the live entertainment, a raffle was held for a variety of items, including New York Mets tickets, Broadway shows, Tiffany necklaces, and a candy table from 5th Avenue Weddings, Cadillo said.

The night of entertainment and fun led to a whopping $1,786 in donations over the course of just three hours, Cadillo said.
