Roadside Memorial Honors Thanksgiving Crash Victim

Flowers, balloons and cards rest at the crash site of Jeannie LeFrancis, who was killed in a car crash Nov. 28.

Flowers, hand-written notes and balloons wrap themselves around a tree scarred in multiple spots around its trunk.

Shattered glass and broken pieces of car lie on the grass.

The outpouring of love is for a woman who was a friend to everyone from pets to acquaintances.

It's the place where Jeannine "Jeannie" LeFrancis became the victim of a fatal car crash on Camp Washington Road before dawn on Thanksgiving Day.

More than 1,000 people paid their respects to LeFrancis over a two-day period in her hometown of Livingston this week. Many knew her as the bar manager at Valley Restaurant and Pub, and many knew her as someone who would lend a hand whenever able.

But everyone knew her as Jeannie. She was described by friends and family as outgoing and caring and willing to help whomever whenever.

LeFrancis was 55.
