Schools, Pantry Join Forces to Stuff the Bus

Third annual event to benefit Washington Twp. Food Pantry scheduled for Oct. 27.

In conjunction with the Washington Township Food Pantry, the Washington Township School District is ready to shift its fundraising efforts into the next gear on national Make-A-Difference Day.

On Saturday, Oct. 27, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the third annual Stuff the Bus campaign will motor into the Long Valley Presbyterian Church to gather goods benefitting the pantry. The goal, as always, is to completely fill a full-sized school bus which will supply the Pantry for the holidays and into the winter months.

The pantry asks that all items being donated have expiration codes through December 2012, as expired items cannot be distributed. The pantry also accepts monetary donations.
