Local Businesses Ready for Shopping Frenzy

From Christmas trees to coffee, Long Valley's vendors are ready for Black Friday and Small Business Saturday.

While the malls and big box stores are usually the first stops for major holiday shopping, residents can’t forget what’s being offered locally by small businesses.

Small Business Saturday, created by American Express in 2010, takes place on Nov. 24 this year, and asks patrons to shop local and support their small businesses.

In Long Valley, there are a handful of businesses offering specials or deals this shopping weekend, which are listed below:

  • Hoffman’s Supply will have a full offering of Christmas trees this weekend in addition to lights, wreaths, extension cords and all the other equipment needed to decorate your home this holiday season.
  • The Long Valley Green Market will be open on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. at 20 Schooley’s Mountain Road including many of the market’s mainstay vendors. The market will also host new–and permanent–vendors Studio Six, a group of six local artists offering their pieces.
  • Valley Music Center is also offering 40-percent off its equipment this weekend.
  • Bob’s Long Valley Pizza is serving free coffee Friday morning as residents head out to take advantage of those great deals.
