LV Coach Discounts Service, Will Benefit Food Bank

Transportation service trying to help seniors on a budget.

The understands the realities of the state of the economy, especially for those on a fixed income, like area seniors.

"We have found that a lot of people, specifically senior citizens, are having a tough time doing some of the things they used to such as going to a casino because of the poor economy and Christmas coming," said the company's operations and safety manager Brian Bartiromo.

Because of that, the company is offering two trips to Mt. Airy Casino in Mt. Airy, Pa. for seniors on Dec. 7 and Dec. 11, for just $10. The fee includes a $25 voucher for slot machine play, and a $10 food voucher.

Bartiromo said the transportation service is also requesting that riders bring a non-perishable food item with them to be donated to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey on both days.

"It's a great concept of people helping each other for a good cause and a way of getting folks, particularly senior citizens, out of their homes," Bartiromo said.
