Residents Learn the Ropes at Patch Night

Presentation helps users take advantage of site's offerings.

You read Long Valley Patch. You love Long Valley Patch.

But do you use Long Valley Patch?

That was the question running through our minds recently when we decided to have our first-ever Patch Night at the on Wednesday, March 28.

We invited readers and residents to join us for a couple of hours and learn all the different ways they can use their favorite hyper-local news site.

Mendham-Chester Patch editor Russ Crespolini and Patch sales representatives Joe Milse and Phil Meade were on hand, along with Long Valley Patch editor Jason Koestenblatt, to walk users through adding their own events, announcements, how to blog, and the importance of controlling their business listing on their local Patch site.

About 20 people showed up to listen to the Patchers ramble on, and the questions from the crowd were fantastic. A constant dialogue kept the conversation lively and informative.

Small business owners learned how to , and non-profit organization representatives found out the easiest way to have their information posted on Patch.

We’re hoping to host these informative Patch Nights once every few months, and, look forward to seeing you then.

I attended "Patch Night" and thought the presentation was very informative . I learnt how user friendly the Patch site really is and the many things we as a community can do on our own on the site. When the next meeting is scheduled, more readers should attend and see what Patch REALLY has to offer-There is sooo much !! Great Meeting..
