Antique Sale, Tree-Trimming Ahead This Week

Township Committee meets Monday night.

There’s plenty happening during the final full week of February, and you should know about it! Take a look at what’s going on around town.

You Need to be Aware: You may see a helicopter flying over Washington Township for the next six weeks, starting Monday. Don’t worry, it’s a JCP&L helicopter being used to cut trees and tree limbs from the sky, rather than from bucket trucks. Find out more by going here.

You Need a Meeting: The Washington Township Committee will hold its regular meeting Monday, Feb. 18 at the municipal building at 7:30 p.m. The meeting is open to the public and all are encouraged to attend.

There IS School on Monday: (No) Thanks to Hurricane Sandy, Washington Township and West Morris Regional School Districts will both be in session Monday, Feb. 18–Presidents’ Day. Both school boards decided to hold class on the national holiday to make up for lost time incurred during the fall storm.

You Need Some Antiques: The 27th annual Long Valley Woman’s Club antique fundraiser to benefit local charities will be held Saturday, Feb. 23 at the Long Valley Middle School beginning at 9:30 a.m. Admission price is $7 for anyone 12 and over. Go here to print out the event and save a $1!
