Baseball Sign-Ups, Give Blood Ahead This Week

It’s mid-month in January and the holiday season is officially behind us. Christmas trees are down and Valentine’s Day cards line the store shelves. Before we head out to the nearest chocolate shop, let’s take a look at what’s on tap this week.

You Need to Know About a Canceled Meeting: The first scheduled Washington Township Committee work session of 2013, set for Wednesday, Jan. 16, has been cancelled. The regular committee meeting is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the municipal building.

You Need to Grab Your Mitt: Registration is now open for Long Valley baseball’s spring recreation, summer travel and winter clinic seasons. All registration is now online, and can be found at longvalleybaseball.com.

You Need to Make Music: Music with Mrs. Karen at the MVCA at 59 E. Mill Road begins this month for children ages 12 months to kindergarten. Courses have weekly sessions and run from $75 to $120. .

You Need to Donate Blood: On Saturday, Jan. 19, St. Luke Parish will host a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The drive will benefit the Blood Center of New Jersey. There is no cost or pay for the event. Go here for more information.
