In a closed meeting Monday afternoon, Washington Township Mayor Ken Short met with all the town’s department leaders to discuss what worked and what didn’t in response to Hurricane Sandy and her aftermath. While improvements going forward varied, everyone seemed to agree with one problem–communication.

Former Califon resident David Ingersoll was found and arrested Friday morning after a weeklong search by local authorities. Ingersoll was wanted on various drug charges and was Hunterdon County’s “Fugitive of the Week” recently.I

High School Graduation Bumped for Make-Up Days

The West Morris Regional High School District held a special meeting this week to address revisions needed for the annual calendar to make up for inclement weather days from Super Storm Sandy. The board, while not unanimous, voted to add days to the end of the school year.

Make-Up Days Extend Calendar for Twp. Schools

Following in the regional school district’s footsteps, the Washington Township School district’s board of education also extended its calendar year by adding days in June. If additional days are used, the calendar will be revised again.
