Donate to Non-Food Shower, Hear Tunes in LV

Historical Society Quilt Display available Sunday.

Temperatures are expected to drop a bit this weekend, but hey, we really can’t complain, right? So while you’re putting the shorts back on the shelf for a couple days, see what’s going on around town.

You Need Some Tunes: Recording artist Travis Rocco will perform live at on Friday at 10 p.m. Rocco will perform with a full band.

You Need a Non-Food Shower: The Long Valley Women’s Club will sponsor a non-food shower at the on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Items not covered by food stamps such as paper products, diapers and hygiene products are needed to help dozens of families in need.

You Need Strategies: The will host an event on Saturday at 1 p.m. that will explain energy efficiency strategies for the homes and incentives available with them. The event is free to the public, but registration is required.

You Need a Quilt Display: The Quilt Display and program will be up for exhibit at on Sunday at 4 p.m. A display of quilts–some 200 years old–will be available to view.

You Need to Save the Planet: The Washington Township Recycling Center will be open Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 50 Rock Road. Services are free to township residents. Please keep bundles under 25 lbs. for safety of the personnel.
