E-Waste Disposal, Day Off for Schools This Week

Washington Township Committee will meet Wednesday night.

That’s a joke (sort of), because there’s plenty to know about this week. See what’s happening in town that you need to put on your calendar.

You Need to Know About Closings: All schools serving Washington Township students will be closed Monday, Oct. 8 in observance of Columbus Day. Plan your traffic accordingly and be sure to have a great day off!

You Need a Work Session: The Washington Township Committee will hold its regular monthly work session on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the municipal building. The public is encouraged to attend and all are welcomed.

You Need an E-Waste Disposal: The Washington Township Green Team will host another E-Waste Disposal event at the Department of Public Works on Rock Road Saturday at 9 a.m. The event is completely free, and allows residents to rid their homes of electronic goods no longer working or needed.

You Need to Ride a Clydesdale: That’s right, giddy up, Cowboy! Clydesdale rides will be available at Ort Farms beginning Saturday, Oct. 6 and running on weekends through Oct. 21. Cost is $6. Did we mention you get to ride a Clydesdale?!

You Need Some Music Information: The Washington Township Public Library will host a lecture on music by Dr. Butts on Friday, Oct. 12 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the meeting room. All are welcomed to attend, and registration is requested. Go here for more information.
