Five Things You Should Know Today

Happy United Nations Day!

Did you know that in 1945 the United Nations was officially established today? In 1971, it was recommended by the United Nations General Assembly that October 24 be recognized as a public holiday.

So spend some time today thinking about the wonderful cultural diversity in the world and all of the incredible art, architecture, cuisine, and literature that rises out of the beautiful colors of our humanity.

And enjoy the stunning colors of the trees and the stark shadows and light created by the shifting of the planet on its axis as the days grow shorter.
