Veterans and Tree Meetings on Tuesday

You Need to Know About Our Veterans: The American Veterans Association of Washington Township will hold its monthly meeting at the Senior Center at Rock Spring Park at 10 a.m. If you or someone you know is a veteran and would like to join a group, contact Forrest Burgener at 908-876-3640.

You Need to Prep for Growing Season: The Washington Township Shade Tree Commission is holding its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. at the municipal building. The public is encouraged to attend to learn more about how to best grow and cultivate their landscaping.

You Need to Catch a Game: The West Morris Central spring sports teams are in action, and here’s the lineup: The boys’ varsity golf team will host Mt. Olive High School at 3:10 p.m. The boys and girls varsity track teams will host Mendham and Morristown for a dual meet at 4 p.m. The girls’ varsity lacrosse team will host Montclair High School at 4:30 p.m. The boys’ varsity lacrosse team will hit the road to take on Randolph High School at 7 p.m.

You Need to Have Toddler Time: The Washington Township Library will host toddler time from 10 to 10:45 a.m. for children ages 2 and 3. Stories, crafts and songs will be available.
