Wednesday Road Closings Around Washington Twp.

Streets beginning to open to through traffic.

Roads in and around Washington Township are beginning to open after flood waters have receded and trees and power lines have been removed.

The roads still closed to through traffic, according to Washington Township Police Lt. Mark Niemynski, include: 

  • All Bridge crossings from Rt. 57 into Washington Township except for Newburgh Road
  • Stephensburg Road in two locations: Tree across wires and road at Old Turnpike intersection; road erosion at Rt. 57.
  • Bartley Road between Naughright Road and the Town Line with Mt. Olive. (Power line issues)
  • North Four Bridges Road between Bartley Road and Laketown Road (LONG TERM CLOSURE DUE TO EROSION)
  • Camp Washington (Tree across wires and road)
  • Black River Road (Wires and trees)
  • West Springtown (Wires across road)
  • Reservoir Road from Setting Sun Way to to Rt. 46 closed (Tree and wires across road)
  • Drakestown Road between Naughright Road and Rt. 46 (Tree across the street with wires)
  • Black River Road near Hacklebarney intersection, and further down road toward Tewksbury with wires and trees down

  • Rt. 182 (Mountain Ave) – The northbound slow lane is opened between East Avenue and Mall Drive
  • East Ave is open between Rt. 182 (Mountain Avenue) and Rt. 46 (Washington Twp)
  • Bilby Road (Rt. 665) is open at Willow Grove Street (Rt. 604)
  • Rt. 604 (Willow Grove Street) is open between Bilby Road (Rt. 665) and Waterloo Valley Road
