Memorial 5K Runs on for Fallen Central Students in May

Eighth annual event to benefit scholarship funds at the high school.

For the eighth consecutive year, the West Morris Central Track and Field Club is honoring past students with annual Memorial 5K Run/Walk in May.

The event, which began as a memorial after students Tanner Birch and Kyleigh D’Alessio were killed in a car crash in December 2006, has grown to aid scholarship funds in their name along with other alumnus who were lost at an early age.

Registration for the May 18 event is ongoing and can be done online here. The event begins at 1:30 p.m. with same-day registration beginning at 11:30 a.m. Refreshments will be provided and there will be prizes for the top racers.
