Letter to the Editor: Scout Needs Your Assistance

Eagle candidate selling American flags to raise funds.

Ethan Lare, a junior at West Morris Central, is working towards his Eagle rank as a Boy Scout. In order to reach this goal, he has to complete a service project that in some way will benefit the community. Ethan's project is to build and install two maintenance-free scoreboards up on the lacrosse/soccer fields at Califon fields off of Califon Rd. in Washington Township.

In order to complete this task, he must raise the necessary funds to pay for the materials and equipment needed. To raise these funds, Ethan is selling USA-made, American Flags for the Fourth of July. The flags are 3' x 5' and are selling for $25 each. They have embroidered stars and sewn stripes.

If anyone is interested in buying a flag and supporting Ethan in completing this project, he will be selling the flags at the Long Valley First Aid Squad building on East Mill Rd. in Long Valley, on Saturday, June 25 from 9 a.m. to noon.
