Cops: Long Valley Men Had Cocaine in Car

Mt. Olive police make stop for speeding on Route 206, find narcotic in vehicle.

Two Long Valley men were arrested and charged with cocaine possession in Mt. Olive on Tuesday after being stopped for speeding, Mt. Olive police said.

Officer William Gremmo stopped Robert Hadley, 21, on Route 206 for traveling at a high rate of speed, Cpl. Russ Hatzel said. While speaking with Hadley, Gremmo noticed signs of cocaine possession in the vehicle, and conducted a search, Hatzel said.

After an investigation of the vehicle, Hadley and his passenger, Christopher Engelman, 21, also of Long Valley, were arrested for cocaine possession.

Both men were charged with possession of cocaine and released pending a court appearance.
