Hackettstown 'Gunman' Said He'd Kill Students

Transcripts of 911 call released from March 26 incident.

Nearly a month after Hackettstown High School, and much of Hackettstown itself, was placed on a lockdown because of a 911 call from a man claiming to have a gun in the woods behind the school, transcripts of the call have been released.

A 16-page PDF document of the transcript is attached to this article. Please be advised there is coarse language and obscenities throughout the transcript.

The transcripts show the caller named himself "Kevin McGowan" and threatened to stab the dispatcher, and shoot students at the high school with an AK-47.

Art Charlton of the Warren County Information Department said, "Some portions of the transcript have been redacted to protect the identity of a person who the caller mentioned.

"It is possible an additional transcript of another 911 call relating to this overall incident will be released in the near future," Chartlon said. "But as of today this is the only transcript ready for release."

Hackettstown High School, in addition to all other public schools in the area and Centenary College , as local and state authorities canvassed the area.

Three calls were made by the man, according to the dispatch center,

Did the police find and arrest this guy? Or is he still out there somewhere?

I watch too much Tv. I thought you could triangulate a burner phone and get a location. I thought he would've been caught.
