Long Valley Man Busted With Ecstasy Again, Cops Say

7 suspected ecstasy capsules, 25 empty ecstasy capsules found on pair in Hackettstown parking lot.

Police recovered seven capsules of suspected ecstasy and 25 more with suspected ecstasy residue before sending a Hackettstown woman and Long Valley man to jail on Tuesday.

Mariah Brown, 18, of Hackettstown was sent to the Warren County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 bail after being charged with possession of ecstasy and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to Hackettstown Police Sgt. Darren Tynan. Nicholas Cash, 22, of Long Valley, was also sent to the Warren County Correctional Facility in lieu of $7,500 bail after he was charged with possession of ecstasy.

Police said Cash also had a $300 traffic court warrant out of Roxbury Township Municipal Court.

Police were on patrol around 2:50 a.m. in the area of 700 Grand Avenue when they noticed "suspicious activity" in the parking lot, Tynan said. Upon investigation, Tynan said police learned Brown had the capsules in her possession.

Police also found a scale with suspected ecstasy residue, Tynan said.

In early June, Cash was arrested twice in five days for possession of 15 ecstasy pills in Hackettstown and an outstanding municipal court warrant.
