Police Say Man Drove Drunk on Schooley's Mtn.

A Pennsylvania man drove erratically on Schooley’s Mountain Road and was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol by , according to Lt. Doug Compton.

At 1:15 a.m. on Sunday, officer Adam Feichter saw Jorge Ortiz, 44, of Bushkill, Pennsylvania driving his vehicle in an erratic manner on Schooley’s Mountain Road, Compton said. 

Feichter stopped Ortiz and, after it was revealed Ortiz was under the influence of alcohol, asked the driver to perform a field sobriety test, Compton said. Ortiz then failed the test and was subsequently arrested, Compton said.

At police headquarters, Ortiz then refused to provide breath samples to determine his blood alcohol level, Compton said.

He was then charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit a breath test, reckless driving, and failure to maintain lane.
